The Nothing Man Project
I used to send out postcards to all kinds of people, asking them to draw something on the image that I stamped on the card. The original card looked like this:
At first it was kind of a mail art project, but I eventually started sending them to all kinds of people. Sometimes they came back, sometimes they didn't. I think I sent out at least 100 cards, and got back 58. I got a few famous folks to reply, mostly low-brow artists. See if you recognize any of the art:
